My Review
This is the second book in the Misadventures series but they
can all be read as standalone books. This book is a good read for sure. Kate
and Price had everything and then Price died. Kate has been living but not
doing any more than surviving since his death. It has been a year since Price’s
death and her sister in law has convinced her to go on a girl’s trip. Once they
arrive Kate’s life is changed once again when she sees Price walking towards her
on the beach. Their reunion does not go as Price imagined. He has stayed hidden
to protect Kate but he can’t be without her anymore. But Kate has questions
before she can just agree to be with Price again. She loves him with all her
heart and would do anything to be with him again. But, to be with him again she
may have to give everything up and live on the run with him. What will Kate
choose to do or will she have her own idea about what to do? This book was
interesting and I felt for Kate. First, she thought he died and then she
learned that he hadn’t. I think it was a little naive of Price to assume that
she would just go along with his plan and have no questions. That she would
just accept what he was willing to her and give up everything. I actually didn’t
like Price that much. I understand that he thought what he was doing would
protect her but if the people after him where that bad they were probably
already keeping track of Kate even when she had no contact with him. To me the
ending of the book seemed rushed as well. Overall, I liked the book but thought
it could have been a little better. I loved Kate’s characters. She didn’t just
sit back and take it. She had questions and ideas about what they should do or
could try.
